75th Anniversary of the Jeep in Toledo Ohio on Aug 13th

Jeffrey Intemann
Took the Willys to the 75th Anniversary of the Jeep in Toledo Ohio on Aug 13th. When we showed up for the parade I was asked what year the Jeep was and I said 43. They then told me to go to the front of the line because I was the oldest Jeep there. Then I was asked if I could give a WWll Vet a ride?  Then I helped Robert (a 93 year old Navy Vet) and his friend Mary Jo into the Jeep and off we went the first in line in the parade!  Talked to Bob the whole time and found among other things he served in the Atlantic area. Always want to find out what our Vets did and pass along what the "Greatest Generation" has done to protect all of our freedoms for the future. People asked me what the NRG meant that was on my flag cover.  After talking about the group and they looked at my license plate no one could believe I came all the way from California for the show. Yes retirement is fantastic! I may not have mud on my tires but I hope all in the NRG could give me a pass on only having rain on the tires and on the Willys!
